#changeherstory
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. What better time to celebrate our patients, our researchers, and the impact UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital and Magee-Womens Research Institute make on breast cancer treatment and survival. Learn MoreThe Women's Cancer Research Center: A Collaboration for Life
The Women’s Cancer Research Center (WCRC) is a collaboration between the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center and the Magee-Womens Research Institute (MWRI). The mission of the WCRC is to reduce the incidence of and death from women’s cancers. This mission is achieved through the development and fostering of clinical research aimed at translating our discoveries into improved patient care.
Research programs focus mainly on breast and ovarian cancers, but also include other gynecological cancers. The WCRC is also focused on programs designed to educate and develop the next generation of researchers and physicians in women’s cancers.
